Esecutivo della Sinistra Europea: la solidarietà alla Grecia e alla Francia

Yannis Milos e Alberto Garzón sono stati ospiti del consiglio esecutivo del Partito della Sinistra Europea (EL) questo fine settimana a Berlino

Grecia e Francia, due situazioni che richiedono la solidarietà dei popoli europei

L’impegno di sostegno per Syriza alle elezioni greche del 25 gennaio ha segnato la riunione del Consiglio dei presidenti EL tenutasi ieri, così come il Comitato esecutivo di questo fine settimana a Berlino.

Le proposte concrete emerse nel dibattito sono state:

- la diffusione e la spiegazione del reale programma di Syriza contro tutte le mistificazioni e le bugie che vengono dette a riguardo,

- la difesa della posizione di Syriza sulla ristrutturazione del debito

- le mobilitazioni per difendere la libertà del popolo greco a decidere il loro futuro

Il board esecutivo ha sottolineato la necessità di essere pronti a sostenere da tutti i paesi un governo che i opporrà al neoliberismo e alla troika, e che proprio per questo sarà attaccato in tutto il mondo.

La Sinistra Europea preparerà un’azione comune, lo stesso giorno in tutta Europa, per dimostrare come la situazione in Grecia sia un problema europeo e che tutti i popoli d’Europa ne sono coinvolti e preoccupati.

Un altro argomento presente in tutti gli interventi è stato l’attentato contro il settimanale Charlie Hebdo. La Sinistra Europea ha approvato una dichiarazione di solidarietà con il popolo francese e contro gli attacchi alla “democrazia, la libertà di stampa e il diritto alla caricatura e alla satira”.

“Abbiamo fiducia nella società francese che sarà in grado di impedire che si cada nella trappola dell’ odio e delle divisioni, grazie ai valori della Repubblica : Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité. Combattere l’oscurantismo richiede la più larga mobilitazione contro ogni forma di razzismo e per la difesa della libertà di parola”.

Il board esecutivo ha inoltre definito l’agenda per quest’anno, già approvata nel corso dell’ultimo meeting tenutosi ad Atene nel mese di novembre:
il Forum delle Alternative a Parigi il 30 e 31 maggio;
il Forum dell’Europa meridionale per un’uscita sociale della crisi, a Barcellona il 23 e 24 gennaio;
la riunione del Parlacon in autunno;
la campagna per sconfiggere il TTIP;
la campagna per il lavoro delle donne.

Tre gli ospiti della riunione della Sinistra Europea: Yannis Milos, responsabile del programma economico di Syriza, che ha spiegato i principali assi o le loro proposte, tra cui la ristrutturazione del debito; Alberto Garzón, candidato alla presidenza del governo per Izquierda Unida alle prossime elezioni spagnole nel mese di novembre, che ha spiegato la situazione in Spagna in vista delle elezioni locali e nazionali; e rappresentanti della coalizione Sinistra Unita della Slovenia (la Sinistra Europea firmerà entro la fine del mese un accordo di partnership con questa nuova forza politica).

Greece and France, two situations requesting European peoples’ solidarity

The commitment of support for Syriza in the Greek elections of January 25 has marked the meeting of EL Council of Chairpersons held yesterday, as well as the Executive Board of this weekend in Berlin.

Concrete proposals emerged of the debate:

- diffusion and explanation of the “real” program of Syriza to fight all the lies that have been counted.

- defence of the position of Syriza on the restructuration of the debt

- mobilizations to defend the freedom of the Greek people to decide their future

The Ex-Board emphasized the need to be ready to support, from all the countries, a government which will be facing the neoliberalism and the troika, and that will be attacked all over the world.

The EL will prepare a common visible action, the same day in the all Europe to show the situation in Greece is a European issue and all the peoples of Europe are concerned.

Another topic present in all interventions was that of the attempt against Charlie Hebdo newspaper. The EL approved a solidarity statement with the French people, and against attacks to “the democracy, the freedom of press and the right to caricature”.

“We have trust in the French society to be able to prevent falling into the trap of hate and division, thanks to the values of the Republic: Freedom, Equality, Brotherhood. Fighting the obscurantism requires a powerful gathering against all forms of racism and for the defence of the freedom of speech” the Chairpersons said.

The Ex-Board advanced in the agenda for this year that was approved in the last Ex-Board held in Athens in November: the Forum of Alternatives in Paris on May 30 and 31; the Southern Europe Forum for a social exit of the crisis, in Barcelona on January 23, 24; the meeting of the Parlacon in Autumn; the campaign to defeat the TTIP; and the campaign for the labour rights of women.

In this occasion the Ex Board had three guest: Yannis Milos, responsible of the economic program of Syriza, who explained the main axes or their proposals, including the restructuration of the debt; Alberto Garzón, who is the favourite candidate to go for the Presidency of the government for IU in next Spanish elections in November, who explained the situation in Spain facing the next local and general elections this year; and representatives of the United Left Coalition of Slovenia (the EL will sign before the end of the month, a partnership agreement with this new political force).

The Party of the European Left (EL) is a political party at the European level which was formed in 2004. The EL is composed of 26 members parties and 7 observer parties.
