La prevenzione degli attacchi deve iniziare con la volontà di tutti

Il Partito della Sinistra europea condanna l’orribile attacco di sbaato a Mogadiscio, che ha provocato almeno 231 vittime e altri 275 feriti. È uno degli attacchi più letali cui il mondo abbia assistito negli ultimi anni. I nostri pensieri vanno in questo momento alle vittime dell’attacco e porgiamo le nostre più profonde condoglianze alle famiglie e ai cari delle vittime.
Anche se nessun gruppo ha rivendicato la responsabilità per l’attentato, i funzionari governativi somali ritengono che sia stato messo in atto da terroristi al-Shabab affiliati ad al-Qaida.
Dall’inizio di quest’anno Al-Shabaab ha moltiplicato gli attacchi, dopo che sia l’amministrazione Trump sia il presidente recentemente eletto Mohali Abdullahi Mohamed hanno annunciato nuovi sforzi militari contro il gruppo.
La Sinistra europea è solidale con la popolazione somala, dopo questo attacco mortale. I responsabili devono essere identificati il ​​più presto possibile e consegnati alla giustizia.

Occorre anche una riflessione su come mettere fine a tutte le guerre e a superare ogni spirale d’odio. Il mondo intero deve impegnarsi per una coesistenza pacifica, che presuppone la volontà di tutte le parti in causa. Anche l’Occidente deve pensare al rapporto con il cosiddetto Terzo Mondo, se vogliamo prevenire questa violenza.

Prevention of attacks must begin with the will on all sides

The European Left condemns the horrific attack in Somalia’s capital of Mogadishu, which claimed at least 231 lives and 275 others injured on Saturday. It’s one of the most lethal attacks the world has seen for years. We are thinking at the victims of the attack with profound sadness. We send our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims.
Although no group claimed responsibility for the bombing, Somali government officials believe it was carried out by al-Qaida affiliated al-Shabab terrorists. Earlier this year Al-Shabaab vowed to step up attacks after both the Trump administration and Somalia’s recently elected President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed announced new military efforts against the group.
The European Left stands in solidarity with the people of Somalia against this deadly attack. The perpetrators must be identified as soon as possible and brought to justice. The background needs to be fully elucidated. We must also think about how finally the wars can be overcome and this hatred can be dismantled. The world must unite for a peaceful co-existence which presupposes the will on all sides. The West has also to think about the relationship with the so-called Third World, if we want to prevent this violence.
