La Sinistra Europea condanna l’attacco terroristico a Tunisi e lancia un appello per rafforzare la partecipazione al Forum Sociale Mondiale

Il Partito della Sinistra Europea (EL) condanna con forza l’attacco terroristico dello Stato islamico perpetrato oggi a Tunisi, nella sede del Parlamento, la rappresentazione massima della democrazia, e condivide il dolore delle vittime e di tutto il popolo tunisino.

Questo attacco, nel quale sono morte 19 persone, si verifica solo meno di una settimana dall’inizio del Forum sociale mondiale di Tunisi, uno spazio unico per la discussione, la condivisione e la convergenza dei movimenti sociali di tutto il mondo.

Maite Mola, vice presidente della Sinistra Europea, che parteciperà la prossima settimana al Forum Sociale Mondiale, insieme ad altri membri del Partito della Sinistra Europea (EL), lancia un appello a rafforzare la partecipazione, che è un modo per rispondere a questo attacco dello Stato islamico «perché nessuno può minacciare quest’occasione di convergenza della società civile globale».

Nessun terrorismo potrà mettere a tacere la voce dei popoli quando sono articolate in tutto il mondo per rafforzare le loro lotte contro il neoliberismo e la globalizzazione capitalista.

Nessuno sarà in grado di spezzare la volontà di convergenza, che aiuta a modificare l’equilibrio delle forze su scala globale, soprattutto in tempi in cui la democrazia diventa più povera ogni giorno, sia in Europa che nei paesi attaccati dai terroristi fondamentalisti e dagli interessi imperialisti».

Oggi più che mai, la Sinistra Europea è con il popolo tunisino e chiede di rafforzare la partecipazione a questo Forum Sociale Mondiale che verrà inaugurato  prossimo artedì, 24 marzo. Il successo di questo Forum dipenderà, ancora una volta, dalla partecipazione attiva dei movimenti sociali, delle organizzazioni in lotta, dei contadini e dei lavoratori, degli studenti, dei disoccupati, dei giovani, delle donne, e delle persone più deboli ed escluse, ha spiegato Maite Mola, aggiungendo: «Il terrorismo non ci ha mai fermati e non lo farà nemmeno ora».

The EL condemns terrorist attack in Tunis and calls to respond by strengthening participation in the World Social Forum

The Party of the European Left (EL) rigorously condemns the terrorist attack of the Islamic State perpetrated today in Tunis, in the headquarters of the Parliament, the maximum representation of democracy, and shares the pain of the victims and with all Tunisian people.

This attack, which has left more than a dozen people dead, occurs just less than a week from the beginning of the World Social Forum in Tunis, a unique space for discussion, sharing and convergence of social movements around the world.

Maite Mola, vice President of the EL, who will participate next week in the World Social Forum, along with other members of the Party of the European Left (EL), appealed to strengthen the participation, which is a way to respond to this attack of the Islamic State “because nobody is going to threaten this opportunity of convergence of global civil society”.

No terrorism will be able to silence the voice of the peoples when they are articulated across the world to reinforce their struggles against neoliberalism and capitalist globalization.

Nobody will be able to break the will of convergence, that helps to modify the balance of forces on a global scale, especially in times in which democracy becomes gets poorer every day, both in Europe and in the countries attacked by the fundamentalist terrorists and the imperialist interests”.

Today more than ever, the EL is with the Tunisian people and calls to strengthen the participation in this World Social Forum that will be inaugurated next Tuesday, March 24. The success of this Forum will depend, once again, on the active participation of the social movements, the organizations in struggle, the peasants and workpeople, the students, the unemployed people, the young people, the women, and the excluded ones”, explained Maite Mola, adding: “The terrorism has never immobilized us and it will not do it now neither.”.
